The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) announced that the sixth edition of the “MEET ICT” conference and BITEX exhibition aims to reinforce Bahrain’s position as a regional platform for IT Industry.
It said that “The event – will be held on the 4th 5th and 6th of January 2016 under the patronage of the Minister of Transport and Communications HE Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed- will attract local, regional and international wide participation. The evidence that the technology industry’s ability to rise to Bahrain national economy and to be a cornerstone of the policy of diversifying sources of income.”
BTECH explained that MEETICT is a 2-day conference and 1 day workshop which will be attended by delegate from Local, regional and international firm as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Ministry of finance, Ministry of Transportation, Bahrain Defense Force, ALBA, BATELCO, Huawei, VIVA, Microsoft, Gulf Business Machine, CIO Knowledge Club and Exceed IT UAE. Beside International Delegates from Taiwan, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and more.
BITEX this year attracts more international exhibitors for Japan, India, UAE, USA, Saudi Arabia, China and more, and all Exhibitors will open their doors to a new venture and opportunities to meet and greet top management from local and regional and International level.
In addition Microsoft will organize a workshop on the last day of the events entitled “Small and Medium-sized Business Seminar”. Around a hundred representatives of small and medium-sized business companies in Bahrain are expected to attend the event which will be about “Cloud Computing”.
“This wide participation in the conference and exhibition comes in line with our desire to invest the most important and distinctive technical event in Bahrain and the region and use it as a platform to expand the company’s business in the Middle East,” Said Mr. Ubaydli Ubaydli, chairman of BTECH.
“Exploring the latest developments in the ICT field through interaction with selected experts and speakers at the conference, seizing business opportunities and business transactions provided in the event and meeting first-grade decision makers, managers, executives and leaders of the ICT sector are all aims behind conference and expiation,” he added.
