DP World reports 9.1% increase in H1 net income

The world's third-largest port operator, DP World has posted a 9.1% increase in profit for the first half of the year, but said the outlook remained uncertain and market conditions in some regions were challenging, Reuters has reported. The company made $264m in net profit, compared with $242m in the corresponding period of 2012. Revenue for the six months ended on June 30 changed little at $1.51bn, compared with $1.53bn in the prior-year period.
