DQG, GBN organize the 9th International Benchmarking Conference in Dubai

Global business excellence experts attend the 9th International Benchmarking Conference

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dubai Quality Group (DQG), in association with Global Benchmarking Network (GBN), organized the 9th International Benchmarking Conference in Dubai on Thursday, 17th December, 2015.

Benchmarking and business excellence experts and speakers from Germany, UK, New Zealand, Australia, India, Philippines, Canada, Singapore and the UAE addressed the issues and best practices related to Innovation, Sustainability and Benchmarking.

Dubai Cooperation for Ambulance Servicer participated in the conference, presenting their innovative MAMA ambulance service, which focuses on the needs of pregnant women and consists of an entire team of women staff, from ambulance drivers to paramedics, which was a winner at the 4th International Best Practice Competition.

Dubai Statistics Center presented on how they are learning from best practices “to identify, develop and implement best practices in Innovation Management to improve its processes and services”.

Finalists for the GBN’s 2015 International Benchmarking Award presented their best practices at the conference.

The companies that participated were:

•Global Indian International School (Singapore)
•Al Jazeera Catering International (Abu Dhabi)
•The Medical City (Philippines)

Following their presentations, the winning company was announced as The Medical City from Philippines, and Ms. Teresa Bagaman, Head of Network Quality Management at The Medical City received the winning trophy.

Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, the Chairman of Dubai Quality Group, expressed his vision on the event saying, “Innovation and Sustainability is the key to a prosperous and profitable organization. We are honored to have a variety of speakers from around the world come together at this conference to share best practices and enlighten us to understand the global Benchmarking landscape and the process of comparing one’s business processes and performance metrics to industry bests or best practices from other companies.
