DSA’s drivers all set for Dubai Kartdrome

Daman Speed Academy was launched last year as a joint initiative between the National Health Insurance Company “Daman” and Abu Dhabi Racing.

Rotax Max Challenge, Rounds 9 & 10 of the karting will see seven of the UAE’s most talented and exciting junior drivers from the Daman Speed Academy (DSA) competing in the Dubai Kartdrome on Friday 13th / Saturday 14th of February.

One of the DSA’s rising stars, Hamda Al Qubaisi will be targeting yet another podium finish in the Mini Max Category following a superb run of form that has seen her finish on the podium three times so far this season. Hamda has consistently improved all season and most recently she narrowly missed out on a podium position, coming 4th against some of the best international drivers in the O-Plate Championship in Dubai at the end of last month.

Her sister Amna Al Qubaisi along with Saeed Al Aliand Ahmed Al Khamisi will be competing in the Junior Max category. Meanwhile the Micro Max Category will feature DSA drivers Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Ali Al Shamsi and Ahmed Al Saadi. Al Saadi will replace Omar Al Khouri as part of the DSA rotation policy between drivers.

Robert Cregan, Daman Speed Academy Program Director at ADR, said: “We continue to have high hopes for our young drivers who have all continued to improve their speed all season. They know the Dubai Kartdrome well and will have learnt some valuable lessons there against some very tough international competition in the O-Plate two weeks ago. I wish all the drivers the best of luck.”
