Dubai Police seize 2,940 cars during first half of 2012

Dubai Police has said over 2,900 cars have been confiscated during the six months of 2012 and as many as 155,084 traffic fines were issued in the emirate, Gulf News has reported. "Dubai Police confiscated a total of 2,940 cars during the first six months of 2012, out of which 1,729 were confiscated by running their number plates through the police computer system located in police patrol cars," said Col. Mohammad Nasser Abdul Razak, deputy director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Police Affairs.
