Egypt plans roads, bridges revamp

Egyptian finance minister, Ahmed Galal has said the new economic stimulus package will include billions of pounds in infrastructure and sanitation investments, Ahram has reported. Last Monday, the ministry unveiled a EGP29.6bn ($4.3bn) stimulus package worth, one third more than the initial EGP22.3bn allocated to revive the country’s ailing economy. As part of the stimulus, EGP2.5m will be allocated to renovating roads and bridges, EGP1.6bn to paving roads nationwide, and EGP557m to complete 15 roads under the supervision of Egypt’s Central Agency for Reconstruction.
