The Emirates Classic Car Festival, the regional celebration of decade-old cars, trucks and motorbikes, returns to Dubai in its eighth edition.
Taking place at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai from March 24 to 27, the festival is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world.
Since its debut eight years ago, the Emirates Classic Car Festival has been developing year on year, inviting greater numbers of participants and visitors.
“We raise the bar each year and challenge the participants to display their best collections by creating a competitive environment that entices new collectors to participate and be part of the truly festive community event,” Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, told AMEinfo ahead of the event.
He noted that the festival has “already established its credentials as the leading event for classic vehicles in the region” and continues to evolve and bring out new platforms and features.
“We are also unveiling several new initiatives this year, which will be announced in due course,” Al Matrooshi said.Live restorations of classic cars will be one of the new elements added to the festival this year.
“Once again, the festival will provide a wonderful opportunity for UAE enthusiasts and international participants to share their passion for beautiful and historic vehicles,” Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE), said.
“This is underlined by the new features that have been added this year and I’m especially looking forward to the live restoration of classic vehicles, which promises to be a fascinating new element,” he added.
The event is organised by Emaar Properties in collaboration with ATCUAE and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
