Emirates to open office in Mombasa, Kenya

Emirates Airline has announced plans to open an office in the Kenyan city of Mombasa, before the end of the year to tap into growing demand from the coastal region. The airline, which currently operates 14 weekly flights from its Dubai hub to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, has seen its traffic grow since it established presence in Kenya in 1995. "Nairobi now brings Emirates a sizeable slice of its earnings from the east African region in terms of both passenger and cargo business," said Emirates' vice president for commercial operations for Africa, Jean Luc Grillet.
