Underlining its commitment to the environment and the community, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) is highlighting its sustainable development initiatives as well as latest technologies to provide smarter solutions for consumers, at the 17th Water, Energy, Technology & Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2015 to be held from April 21-23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Some of these solutions include the Vehicle Identification Pass (ViP), a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) / and vehicle identification (VID)-based fuel retailing system.
Held under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance of the UAE and President of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX 2015 is being organised by DEWA under the umbrella of Green Week 2015, in conjunction with the World Green Economy Summit.
A Strategic Sponsor of the event, ENOC is showcasing a wide array of solutions that support environmental sustainability and promote energy use efficiency in line with the UAE initiative to build a green economy in the country under the slogan ‘A Green Economy for Sustainable Development’.

As part of WETEX, on April 22, Alia Basumara, Senior Compliance Officer (Environment & Energy) at ENOC, will be presenting the seminar ‘ENOC Energy and Resource Management-Snapshot’, highlighting ENOC’s activities and achievements in the past seven years in the field of Energy and Resource Management.
ENOC’s stand at WETEX has been creatively designed to reflect the ‘sustainability’ theme using eco-friendly materials such as sustainable Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) panels and eco-friendly flooring.
ENOC is showcasing its successful RFID-based ViP service, which enables commercial users and fleet-owners to fuel on-the-go without having to pay in cash or use credit cards. ENOC’s ViP facility automatically recognises the registered vehicle being fuelled, and deducts the cost from the registered user’s account without the help of a service attendant. Demos of the service will be conducted at ENOC’s stand. Today, over 20,000 commercial vehicles have registered for the service.
At WETEX 2015, ENOC Lubricants will highlight the advanced technology and equipment in lubricants manufacturing at the ENOC Lubricants & Grease Manufacturing Plant (ELOMP in Fujairah.
Emirates Gas (EMGAS), a subsidiary of ENOC, is placing particular emphasis on its various environment-friendly measures including the Cutting Edge Gas (CEG), a new generation product that provides customers with a convenient, cost-effective fuel gas for cutting applications.
EMGAS is also showcasing Pro-Power, an innovative fuelling system that assures improved performance, prolonged engine life, and reduced maintenance and lifecycle costs. Compared to other forklift cylinders, ‘Pro-Power’ is clean burning, with significantly lower emissions and without any spillage, thus marking an eco-friendly approach for Fork Lift operations.
