Etihad set to place $20bn aircraft order

Etihad Airways is set to order up to 100 planes worth about $20bn, in what would be the largest aircraft order this year, reported the UK's Daily Telegraph. James Hogan, CEO of the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, said he was in advanced talks with Airbus and Boeing and hopes to have a deal tied up within the next few months. The airline is looking to order narrow-bodied, wide-bodied and very large aircraft, including A380s or B747-8s.
