Hilton Hotels in Beirut announced today the promotion of Jihad Dfouni from Executive Sous-Chef in Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand to Executive Chef in Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace.
In his new role, Jihad will be in charge of the hotel’s central kitchen operations, managing all dinning venues, room service, catering, banqueting and all other culinary events. Jihad will also take over staff hiring and training, along with reviewing food service and monitoring crew discipline and performance.
Expressing his delight with his promotion, Dfouni commented: “I am thrilled to be assuming this new role with the amazing and highly talented kitchen team at Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace and I’m eager to continue infusing my passion for cuisine and cooking so that together we create a unique and delectable gastronomical experience”.
Being in the field for over 24 years between Dubai, Beirut and Lebanon’s most prominent restaurants and hotels, Dfouni brings to the table a vast culinary experience in all types of cuisines.
In his former position as Executive Sous-Chef at Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand, he oversaw the entire hotel central kitchen operation, including the restaurants, monitoring all food preparation, presentation and delivery.
