Holidays raise Al Ain hotel occupancy to 100 per cent

The city of Al Ain has viable tourist facilities that put it on the map of local, regional and family festivals

Hotel room booking rates rose in the city of Al Ain to 100 per cent, with the approach of the New Year holiday and Christmas, amid expectations of an improved performance of the city’s hotel sector during 2016.

Hoteliers said that this growth in hotel occupancy to the maximum capacity during the holidays proves that the city of Al Ain has viable tourist facilities that put it on the map of local, regional and family festivals.

Amr Adel, general manager of Hili Rayhaan Resort by Rotana said: “The city has a large tourist elements characterised by a sense of privacy and diversity, which makes it possess all the qualifications to attract family, medical and sport tourism.”

Adel stressed the necessity of activating the tourism sector’s development efforts in Al Ain, which represents the transit point for tourism, especially for Gulf tourists who are heading to Salalah in Oman, reports UAE-based Aliqtisadi.
