Honda posts 46% surge in Q2 net profit

Japanese carmaker Honda Motor Cohas reported a 46% surge in second-quarter net profit, after strong car sales in its biggest market, the US, and motorbike sales in India and Thailand, Reuters has reported. Japan’s third-biggest automaker by sales volume said its July-September net profit totalled ¥120.4bn, compared with ¥82.2bn yen a year ago. Honda, the fifth-biggest carmaker in the US, sold 413,434 vehicles in that market in July-September, up 13.1% from a year ago.
