Huawei, the renowned telecommunications equipment company, announced its participation in the sixth edition of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) conference “MEET ICT” and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX) through a team comprises twenty of its executives and 16 representatives from the company’s various technical areas.
The company will also take part in the “MEET ICT” sessions through six speakers. They will discuss cutting edge information in the ICT technology and topics like “Smart Cities”, how innovative technology serves communities, network security, data storage, and many others.
The deputy director of Huawei-Bahrain “Li Wei” said that the company’s large participation in the conference and exhibition comes in line with its desire to invest the most important and distinctive technical event in Bahrain and the region and use it as a platform to expand the company’s business in the Middle East. “Exploring the latest developments in the ICT field through interaction with selected experts and speakers at the conference, seizing business opportunities and business transactions provided in the event and meeting first-grade decision makers, managers, executives and leaders of the ICT sector are all aims behind our participation,” he added.
This came in a statement by “Wei” on the sidelines of signing a strategic partnership agreement with the organizers of the conference and the exhibition, Work Smart for event management in cooperation with the Bahrain Technology Companies Society “BTECH” to be patronized next month and to be patronized by the Transport and Communications minister, Kamal bin Ahmed.
For his part, chairman of Work Smart, Ahmed Al-Hujairi, said that this strategic partnership with Huawei was an added value to the event’s partners list in its sixth edition this year. “Organizers are steady in the way of achieving maximum benefit of this partnership to ensure promoting it up to of both sides’ expectation,” he added.
Al-Hujairi stressed organizers’ keenness to develop the events every year in order to have a positive impact on the development of the ICT sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain especially, he said, since this sector has become the most vital sectors of economy that can be relied on to support the national economy.
