According to a recent report by IDC, Huawei remained the third-largest smartphone manufacturer globally in the second quarter of this year, as the company shipped 38.5 million smartphones, managing to grab 11.3 per cent of the global smartphone market.
Huawei was ranked 49th on BrandZ’s Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, 88th on Forbes World’s Most Valuable Brands and 40th on the Brand Finance Global 500 Most Valuable Brands lists.
In China alone, Huawei saw significant growth, with the company’s shipments increasing by 22.6 per cent year on year with 23.5m units shipped in Q2 2017.
