Iran looks to boost loading and unloading capacities of ports

Iran's Port and Maritime Organisation has announced that 300 new ports are slated to launch operations in the near future, as part of efforts to boost its loading and unloading capacities, Fars news agency has reported. The capacity of container loading and unloading in Iran's ports is currently at about 4.4 million per year which will increase to 7 million by the end of 2015, Ataollah Sadr, managing director of the port and maritime organisation, said.
