Iran to spend $12.5bn on new railway tracks

The Economic Council of Iran has agreed to allocate $12.5bn for constructing nine new railway tracks in the country, Mehr news agency has reported. The new railway tracks will connect Qazvin-Rasht-Anzali, Shiraz-Bushehr-Assaluyeh, Qazvin-Qom, Miyaneh-Ardabil, Maragheh-Orumiyeh, Yazd-Shiraz, Golgohar-Shiraz, Gorgan-Bojnurd-Mashhad and Miyaneh-Bostanabad-Tabriz.
