Iranian automaker to work with schools to develop new platforms

Iran-Khodro Co (IKCO), the country's largest carmaker plans to cooperate with academic and research institutions in the country to develop its new platforms, Fars news has reported. "These platforms are being designed and developed in B and D segments; different types of cars will be built on these platforms within the next ten years, the first of which would be presented in 2014," said IKCO chief executive Javad Najmeddin. "This cooperation shortens the path to the goal and brings about cost reduction and improvement of designing knowledge," Najmeddin noted.
