Iraqi, Iranian flight crew members need security clearance to enter Indian space

India's home affairs ministry has announced crew of non-scheduled airlines and chartered flights from Iraq, Iran, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan will require security clearance before flying into the Indian space, The New Indian Express has reported. However, the ministry has authorised Indian embassies to grant business visa for appropriate duration for non-prior reference category (PRC) countries. The visa would be endorsed only on the crew member's national passport and not on the crew member certificate, the ministry noted.
