ITA signs MOU in cyber security with South Korea

The Information Technology Authority (ITA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) of the Republic of South Korea, aiming to promote and develop cooperation between the Sultanate and Korea in the field of cyber security. The MOU signed by Dr. Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, and Mr. Baik, Kee-Seung, President of the KISA, with the presence of H.E Dr. Hamed Salim Al Rawahi, CEO of TRA, and Eng. Badar Ali Al Salehi Director of Oman CERT, and some officials from both countries.

The MOU addresses the cooperation between ITA and KISA in promoting the exchange of security related information and experiences, including incidents response and management, analysis of digital evidence and cyber-crime, and risk management. The cooperation also includes areas of research, awareness, training and development in the field of cyber security and protection of institutions’ critical infrastructure. The ITA and KISA will have regular meetings and workshops to work together on cyber security projects, and facilitate training programs for specialists from both countries.
