India’s second largest carrier, Jet Airways has announced it is to resume its Calicut flight and start an additional flight from the Qatari capital, Doha, to Mumbai, Gulf Times has reported. However, these flights are likely to be possible only with the opening of the new Hamad International Airport (HIA), due to the lack of free-time slots in the existing airport, said Jet Airways Country Manager, Anil Srinivasan. “This can be any day. In fact, we have been waiting for time slots for long. But I think this will be possible only with the opening of the HIA or if we are allotted evening slots in the existing airport,” said Srinivasan.
