Kuwait International Airport terminal design unveiled

Kuwaiti public works ministry has revealed the design of the new Kuwait International Airport (KIA) terminal, as the Gulf country seeks to strengthen its position regionally and establish itself as a regional air hub in the Gulf, Kuwait Times has reported. The airport has been designed to serve 13 million passengers per year in the short term, with further development aimed at increasing this to 50 million in the longer term, the ministry said. The terminal building's design has been undertaken by a consortium led by the leading London-based architects Foster + Partners, in association with the local consulting firm Gulf Consult.
