The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) has announced that Kuwait will be hosting the 6th Middle East & North Africa Renewable Energy Conference (MENAREC 6) under the high patronage of His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Held under the theme ‘Renewable Innovations towards Sustainable Energy’, MENAREC 6 will take place at the Kuwait Regency Hotel & Conference Center, 04-06 April 2016. The conference programme, which will be delivered to around 600 business leaders, has been developed by a dedicated committee of global experts and will be led by Ministers of Energy and government delegations from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region together with insight from industry leaders.
It will feature dialogues on topics of sustainable energy development, progress in research and development of renewable energy sources, issues of conservation and completion of industrial projects.
In addition, taking place alongside the conference will be a world-class exhibition, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency (RE3) – allowing companies to showcase their expertise, latest technology and services directly to an audience of key decision makers drawn from all major countries from the MENA region.
The RE3 exhibition is organised by industry experts, Global Event Partners, part of the dmg::events network together with local event specialists Synergies.
Kuwait has an exciting programme in place to develop its huge renewable energy potential and KISR is at the forefront of developing pilot solar and wind programmes. The World Bank estimates that $75 billion is required to help fulfill solar and wind projects planned in the Middle East and North Africa region alone.
