Lebanon car sales decline

According to figures released by the Association of Automobile Importers in Lebanon, car sales in Lebanon have decreased by 7% in the first five months of 2011, with Chinese car sales plunging by 37.7%, The Daily Star has reported. Korean cars took the biggest market share, accounting for 41.8% of the total 11,737 passenger vehicles sold, followed by Japanese cars at 29.8%, European manufactured cars at 22% and American cars at 5.7%, the data showed.
