Lebanon sees 6% airport passenger rise

Lebanon's Directorate General of Aviation has announced a 6% year-over-year rise in passenger traffic at the Rafik Hariri Beirut Airport to 549,000 in June, despite a struggling tourism season, The Daily Star has reported. The total number of passengers in the first six months of the year also increased 12.5% to 2.785 million, compared with same period in 2011.
