Lebanon tourist figures fall by 6.66%

The number of tourists visiting Lebanon has dropped 6.66% year-on-year in the first five month of 2012 to 556,558, The Daily Star has reported. African tourists recorded the highest increase at 16.09% to 24,312, followed by visitors from Arab countries with a 15.21% rise to reach 222,083. The number of American tourists rose by 5.73% to 71,360, while the number of European and Australian visitors fell by 3.37% and 4.17% to 165,120 and 16,687, respectively.
