London Gateway project gets approval

The UK government has approved the development of the London Gateway, which will become a national hub port for the country and will accommodate the world's largest container ships. Construction work will begin later this year on the 1,850 acre site, 25 miles from central London. More than Dhs11bn ($3bn) is being privately invested in the port by DP World, the fourth-largest global marine terminal company.
