Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, Dubai receives first mobile check in guest

It was a celebratory day at one of the premier hotels near downtown Dubai as the first guest to use the new mobile check-in service at the Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, Dubai arrived to an entourage of staff and accolades of “We’ve been expecting you.”

Choosing to “Travel Brilliantly” by taking advantage of Marriott’s new mobile guest services, Mr. Faisal Al Mahmoud, a Dubai Marriott Rewards Gold member, was the first to experience the convenience of Mobile Check In. After being greeted by General Manager Khaled Al Jamal, Resident Manager Anna Collier and Front Office Manager Mohanad Amer, all of whom escorted him to the mobile guest service check-in desk, Mr. Al Mahmoud was surprised with a complimentary upgrade into one of the hotel’s spacious Dubai luxury suites. Mr. Al Mahmoud found his key card was ready and waiting for him upon arrival, a benefit of the mobile check in experience, as he had checked-in up to two hours prior to his arrival and had already received an automatic notification that his room was ready through the expedited new mobile app. Another feature of the service allows guests taking advantage of the new app to skip the traditional stop at the front desk upon conclusion of their stay, as a final bill is provided via email.

As part of the recent celebration, which took place in the hotel’s warm and inviting lobby, front office hosts lined up with cards in eight languages exclaiming, “We’ve been expecting you!” A special cake was prepared in a shape of an iPad with Mr. Al Mahmoud’s name and mobile check in inscribed in the icing, and a group photo was taken with the hotel team.

During his stay at this luxury hotel in Dubai, Mr. Al Mahmoud enjoyed the benefit of welcome amenities placed in his hotel suite and was treated with a complimentary dinner for two in the contemporary atmosphere of Merletto, the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant.
