Micromax sees itself among top 5 players in MENA over the next 2 years

Micromax Informatics Ltd., the leading smartphone player, launched Canvas 2 (2017) earlier this week further strengthening its product portfolio in the region.

The smartphone that changed the dynamics of Indian smartphone market, post its launch in 2012 is making a grand comeback in its 2017 edition, targeted to disrupt the mid-range smartphone segment.

A perfect amalgamation of performance and style, the new Canvas 2 is the first smartphone in its price segment to come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The company also announced its plan to capture a bigger market share, aiming to be among the top five players in the region, over the next two years.

We have a significant presence in most of the operational international markets and now our focus is on extending the brand’s reach in the MENA market.

Since our launch in mid-February, we are already available through local distribution in 8 countries and would soon be expanding in other North African markets like Egypt as well.
