Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for small and medium enterprises development launched the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Awards for Young Business Leaders” in 2003.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders recognizes exceptional entrepreneurs within the local community of the U.A.E. This distinguished awards program is the first ever in the United Arab Emirates aimed at creating a competitive environment amongst the young entrepreneurs of the UAE and the Arab countries. The program also recognizes those individuals and organizations who have aided in the development of the entrepreneurs in the UAE.
Café2go is well known as the pioneer and innovator of drinks and food using camel based products. Options such as Camel Chino (Cappuccino with camel milk), Camel Latte (Café latte with camel milk) are just some uniquely named drinks along with camel milk smoothies, camel milk shakes, camel gelato, and sandwiches such as camel fajita, camel hotdog, camel cheese, camel salami and camel mortadella.
Café2Go is the brainchild of an Emirati entrepreneur, Jassim Al Bastaki, who opened his first outlet in September 2011 in Al Murooj Rotana, Dubai. Camel milk was on the menu alongside regular cow’s milk from the beginning and has proved so popular that Al Bastaki decided to take the business model across the globe. By successfully developing a franchise structure through Francorp Al Bastaki has sold several franchises in Libya, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan with an aggressive plan to extend global presence in 2014.
Al Bastaki is confident that the success of the concept in Dubai, and especially the popularity of the camel milk option, will be replicated in across the GCC, the wider Middle East and across the globe. He is in final talks with potential franchisees from Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia and England confident that the brand will prove an equally big hit in the GCC and the wider region.
