Motorists urged to use caution

Motorists in Dubai have been urged to take extra precautions at road diversions, as about 5% of accidents in those areas resulted in casualties last year, reported Gulf News. Badr Al Siri, Director of Traffic Department at the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, said 72 accidents took place at traffic diversions and roadwork sites in the city last year. He said the figures are alarming and reflect a lack of awareness among motorists about the importance of driving safe when road diversions are installed for roadworks.
