Complex Made Simple

Nakilat Q2 profiles climb 6%

The world's largest shipper of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat) has posted a 5.9% increase in second-quarter profit, partly thanks to better cost control, Reuters has reported. The company made QR204.1m ($56.1m) in net income during the quarter, compared with QR192.8m in the same period last year. "Our net operating income was up, and we're continuing to manage expenses quite well," Managing Director Muhammed Ghannam told the news service.
