New hotel to open in Lebanon’s Sidon

Sidon's municipal council has signed an agreement with the Lebanese Company for Hotel Investment and Development to build a modern and luxurious hotel for the southern coastal city, The Daily Star has reported. Sidon Mayor Mohammad Saudi has said that the luxury hotel will be named after the city's famous landmark Hotel Sidon, also known as Hotel Tanios, destroyed during the first years of the Civil War and again in 1982 during the Israeli invasion.
