Oman’s four-, five-star hotels report strong performance

Oman’s National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has said the total number of guests staying at four- and five-star hotels in the sultanate increased by 25.2% until the end of May 2014 to 323,779 guests, compared with 258,518 guests during the same period in 2013, Muscat Daily has reported. The occupancy rate also rose 6.4% to 68.6% to the end of May 2014, compared with 64.5% recorded during the same period in 2013. Total revenue also grew by 10.4% during the period, rising to OR77.89m, compared with OR70.55m at the end of May 2013.
