Chinese device maker Oppo premiered its new R7s Smartphone at GITEX Technology Week 2015 in Dubai.
By unveiling the R7s at the Middle East’s biggest technology show, Oppo aims to improve its brand influence as well as market share in the MENA region, with the UAE as a hub, Ivan Wu, GCC General Manager, tells AMEinfo.
From November, the R7s will be launched in the MENA region and in a number of Asian markets.
Oppo’s flagship metal-clad phablet features 4GB of RAM and a 5.5 1080p AMOLED display covered by 2.5D glass.
It sports an ultra-large 3070 mAh battery and 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The Smartphone has 32GB of expandable storage and its dual-sim card slot also supports expandable memory up to an additional 128 GB.
The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1 skin on top and boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The company has not revealed the price of the new phone.
GITEX Technology Week 2015 opened in Dubai on October 18.
Held at the Dubai World trade Centre, the event, which has the theme of The Internet Future of Everything, is expected to attract more than 130,000 technology experts and professionals from around the world.
