Al Nabooda Automobiles is teaming up with the Emirates Motor Sports Federation, Dubai Police, Sharjah Police and Ciel events to reward motorists for safe driving as part of the Porsche RoadStar contest.
Drivers who display the principles of safe driving, which includes adhering to speed limits, wearing seatbelts, using child safety seats and displaying courtesy on the roads will come under the patrol’s scanner.
From 8th -10th November in Dubai and 11th – 12th November in Sharjah, the roads of these two Emirates will be patrolled for three hours at the height of rush hour to determine who will be awarded with a Porsche Roadstar Certificate and a cash prize of AED1,000.
Additionally, Porsche Centre Dubai will be providing two cars, a Porsche Cayenne and a Panamera S E Hybrid that would be used by the patrol team as part of the convoy.
Mr. K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles, the sole distributor for Porsche in Dubai and the Northern Emirates said, “We are extremely happy to be teaming up with the Emirates Motor Sports Federation, Dubai Police and Sharjah Police to bring the RoadStar contest to the roads of Dubai and Sharjah once again.”
Further support has been given by the Dubai Police in the form of their Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid patrol car, which will be part of the patrol convoy in the Dubai leg of the RoadStar contest.
Mr. K. Rajaram added, “We would like to extend a special thanks to Dubai Police for emphasizing their trust in the program by providing their Panamera S E-Hybrid patrol car.”
“This is a great initiative and a positive way to incentivise and promote safe driving around the country, a cause that team at Porsche Centre Dubai fully supports. We want to instil a culture and attitude of safe driving in the UAE, not just for current drivers, but for the next generation and I believe the RoadStar contest is the perfect medium in which to encourage that,” he concluded.
