UAE-based hospitality firm, Rotana is set to open a five-star resort hotel in Salalah, Oman, by the end of 2012 and a business hotel in Sohar in early 2013, Muscat Daily has reported. The company will operate its first property in Oman - Salalah Rotana Resort & Spa - through a strategic alliance signed between Rotana and Orascom, Omer Kaddouri, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Rotana, said. The five-star Salalah Rotana Resort & Spa will offer 400 luxury rooms and suites, a wide choice of bars and restaurants, a private beach and Zen Spa. Centro Sohar will open early 2013 with 300 rooms, the firm said.
