The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has updated its model relating to the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs); offering services to a number of government entities in the Emirate.
In this regard the Projects and Properties Departments at the Dubai Municipality have recently been added to RTA’s NOCs System in order to facilitate the follow-up of transactions related to the Municipality. The step also aims at cutting short procedures and streamlining the business of contractors and customers.
Engineer Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, said in this regard: “Up to the beginning of last month, the electronic system has received 26,667 transactions which have been processed in collaboration with various entities concerned with NOCs online applications. These include transactions related to concerned bodies within the RTA, as well as the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Etisalat, Du, Etihad Rail, and Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (EMPOWER).
“The RTA always seeks to improve its government services to the highest standards. The main objective of this free initiative is to bring happiness to customers and people through processing their transactions with the least time and hassles; which involves the total elimination of paper documents. It also contributes to realizing the vision of Dubai Government by reducing the number of visitors to customer service centers as much as possible,” continued Maitha.
It is noteworthy that the RTA offers dozens of services to the business sector in Dubai, and avails them to users through various channels such as smart phones, website, customer service centers, and call centers. Transactions can also be processed through self-service kiosks which are accessible in many places at any time they wish 24/7.
