A number of citizens have paid tribute to the great efforts and strategic initiatives undertaken by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai to establish massive public transport systems based on a solid network of streets, roads, bridges, tunnels and sophisticated traffic systems; rendering Dubai a prominent & advanced global hub capable of hosting multitudes of activities and events throughout the year.

To this effect RTA’s Customers Council has recently been hosted in Marwan bin Bayat’s private majlis in the presence of Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, Chairman of RTA’s Customers Council cum CEO of Licensing Agency; Dr. Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency; Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Rail Agency; and Ahmed Mahboob, Director of Customer Service in addition to scores of directors & managers representing various RTA’s agencies & sectors as well as employees.

Bahrozyan conveyed the greetings of HE Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, to the attendants, stressing that RTA’s senior management assigns top priority to offering services to all community segments. He emphasized RTA’s standing commitment to adopt the best practices to upgrade services to a level exceeding customer expectations which could best be achieved through an effective communication with customers and reaching out to them at their domiciles.

Bahrozyan heeded to a number of suggestions, ideas and observations related to the performance of public transport means and infrastructure. “It is now a common practice of all RTA agencies and sectors to study suggestions, ideas and observations made by community members, apply the feasible ones and honour owners of the best suggestions and constructive ideas besides establishing an effective communication with them,” he stated.

“The TRA always seeks to make mass transit means the perfect mobility choice in the Emirate of Dubai, and puts unremitting efforts to diffuse the culture of using public transport among the emirate’s populace through providing sophisticated & advanced means of transport such as the Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transport as well as constructing a modern infrastructure required for the operation of these means. It also launches other associated services & strategic initiatives such as Nol Card, tollgates system (Salik), Journey Planner (Wojhati), smart services and other programs that play a crucial role in the integration of these systems,” he added.

Bahrozyan called on the attendants to take advantage of the superb package of smart services provided by the RTA to the public including citizens and residents in view of the huge benefits of these services which are readily accessible in a speedy, easy and transparent manner from homes or offices via computers and smartphones. Such an exercise, he says, saves users’ time as well as costs and hassles of driving to service centers, finding a parking slot, among others.

The Chairman of Customers Council concluded by extending thanks and appreciation to Omar bin Bayat for the hospitality and kind reception to which Customers Council attendees were treated at Marwan bin Bayatmajlis; in addition to hosting a horde of citizens to identify their needs and listen to their views, suggestions and feedbacks.
