RTA honours best service providers in 2014

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has recently decorated the best RTA service providers in recognition of their contribution to supporting RTA’s efforts to make several key achievements in the field of public transport and infrastructure among others.

The event, which was held in RTA’s Auditorium, was attended by a host of CEOs, Directors of the RTA as well as representatives of firms and entities providing services to the RTA.

During the event, Al Tayer honoured the best service providers of the RTA in 2014 where Parsons Overseas Limited clinched the Best Engineering Consultancy Firm Award, Khansaheb Civil Engineering Company bagged the Best Construction Projects Contractor Award (more than 20 million dirham), Imdaad won the Best Construction Projects Contractor Award (less than 20 million dirham), Suwaidan Trading Company scooped the Best Outsourcing Company Award, Majid Al Futtaim Properties snatched the Best Investment Company Award, Ethos Integrated Solutions (Ethos Consultancy) won the Best Administrative Consultancy Company, and Pearson Education Limited won the Best Providers of Materials or Services Company Award.

Al Tayer reiterated RTA’s commitment to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation with private sector entities considering them strategic partners in supporting RTA’s efforts in implementing various projects. He indicated that such decoration came in recognition of the efforts made by various firms and entities which had made excellent contributions towards realizing RTA’s aspirations and objectives in 2014.

Saeed Al Marri, Director of RTA’s Contracts & Procurement, said: “The open gathering with representatives of companies and entities dealing with the RTA held by the Contracts and Procurement Department, adds to the existing bilateral cooperation towards achieving higher levels of advancement, and enhancing the profile of the Dubai as a premier and leading economic and business hub in the region.

“Multiple channels still lie ahead, ambitions are huge; and what the RTA has so far achieved or is planning to achieve in future echoes its ongoing endeavours to upgrade the infrastructure required for the full integration of roads network and mass transit system. The RTA is keen on adopting transparency and fairness in dealing with various companies undertaking RTA’s projects. It also seeks to ease the processing of corporate transactions to offer them every support in order to empower them deliver best-in-class contractual services,” he continued.
