RTA launches Dhs164m corridor for trucks

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the contract for the new Lihbab Road, Khaleej Times has reported. The 18-month, Dhs164m project will see the construction of a new corridor between Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, to allow goods to be ferried around by trucks more easily within Dubai. It would also include a ‘directional bridge’ which would allow vehicles to make left turns from Jebel Ali Port toward Emirates Road in the northern direction, said the RTA.
