The Human Resources & Development Department, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has re-launched the summer training program, branded as Ajial, offering training prospects for a number of university & secondary school students.
The RTA launches this training program annually with the aim of instilling positive principles and values in students. Registration has opened for students to join the program, which starts on July 5th and runs through until August 27th.
Ms. Kawther Kazim, Executive Director of Human Resources & Development at the RTA, said: “We are always keen on running an annual summer internship for Emirati students in secondary schools and universities. The aim of the program is to foster the value of work amongst trainees and fill their free time in a proper way through carrying out practical assignments which will add to their benefit in future. The summer training offers students exposure to a variety of expertise through integrating them in various sectors, agencies, and departments of the RTA; which in turn will assist in realizing the objective of motivating them to work and serve the community.”
“Experts of the Department will hold an induction gathering for students offering them an introduction about the RTA and a general briefing about the summer internship, in addition to a brief account about scholarships program at the RTA.
She further added: “Training workshops will be conducted and field visits, be it internal visits (such as visiting RTA’s Gallery showcasing key development projects undertaken in the past, or external visits (using public transport means such as the Ferry, buses and the Metro). The program is aimed at acquainting trainees with the achievements & services provided by the RTA in this field, and boosting the corporate standing of the RTA within the community.”
