Since HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has received 2250 innovative ideas/improvement comments (comprising 1900 ideas and 350 comments). It has so far signed-off 2184 cases (comprising 1847 ideas and 337 comments) and classified them as acceptable or viable.

Commenting on this, Director of Customers Service at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, Ahmed Mahboub, said: “RTA has attached paramount attention to ideas and comments received since the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative as they contribute to realizing our ultimate objective of making people happier in line with the third strategic goal of RTA, and the direction of our government.

“RTA is closely monitoring the flow of ideas, improvement comments channeled through the Smart Majlis, and a team examines all inputs, which have the potential of improving RTA’s customers’ service offering. RTA spares no effort to communicate with clients, be it citizens, residents, tourists or visitors of Dubai in order to identify their needs and heed to their views. Customers’ inputs are assessed to see if they are viable or not, and subjected to further scrutiny to refine & enrich them to make them capable of improving our services. RTA even goes an extra mile to draw up plans to anticipate customer aspirations about our services,” added Mahboub.

“The Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative has opened for us a broad spectrum of ideas & comments to which we assign top attention in order to realize the objectives of the initiative. The entire process is bound to push government performance to the highest global standards of serving customers and making people happier,” added Mahboub.
