Saab resumes production

Production has been resumed by Saab Automobile after securing fresh funding from Chinese car distributor Pang Da Automobile Trade Co last week, the Wall Street Journal has reported. Saab lost around 6,000 car orders over the past two months when production was suspended after the automaker didn't pay its bills and suppliers stopped delivering components. Last week, Saab's owner Spyker signed an agreement with Pang Da that provided the carmaker with €30m in short-term funding and enabled it to continue talks with suppliers over debt payments and new deliveries.
