The Corporate headquarters of UAE based Saleh Bin Lahej Group is abuzz with activities. It is the final month of the year, and one would expect the Business Powerhouse in Construction and Hospitality, to be working around the clock to complete the calendar year 2014 with flying colors.
This certainly being the case, the added zing in the air is because it is that time of the year when every member of the Hospitality Division in the group comes together for their highly successful community awareness and fund raising program – The Sponsorship of the 2nd Annual Fun Fair in support of the Dubai Center for Special Needs. Leading their charge is Mr. Mohammed Saleh Bin Lahej – CEO of Saleh Bin Lahej Group.
“We are a UAE based group in the true sense and are deeply rooted in the development of the nation. In our march towards progress, we would like to take these children with special needs along with all of us. Dubai Center for Special Needs is a committed organization and it is a privilege for Saleh Bin Lahej Group to be associated with them,” said Mr. Mohammed Saleh Bin Lahej.
It has been an eventful year for the hospitality division at Saleh Bin Lahej Group, with 20 new outlets opened in 2014, compared to the average of 5 outlets for every previous years. But that hasn’t deterred the management team at the hospitality division from putting up a memorable event and further raising the standards set at the previous Fun Fair. “The CARE program is embedded with the values of the organization and every one of us looks forward to contributing towards this noble cause every year,”said Mr. Mohammed Saleh Bin Lahej.
The Fun Fair lies in its ability in creating a family fun experience where parents can come and enjoy their time with their children and has been evident with a large crowd turnaround. Families enjoyed the event activities including games for children, face painting, food and crafts stalls on offer and supported the drive of raising funds by buying vouchers for the play activities and food. The hospitality division dished out some of the signature dishes of its iconic brands for the visitors. The Group’s flagship brand, The Pizza Company was the main sponsor for the event.
Over the years, the hospitality division of Saleh Bin Lahej Group has inculcated its commitment to children with special needs into a year around program called the ‘Saleh Bin Lahej Care Program’. It focuses on creating long-term partnerships with non-profit organizations that center their attention on raising funds for children with special needs. These efforts have been incorporated into all its outlets in terms of branding, memorabilia and menu options.
Established as a non-profit institution that provides high standards of services in specialized education and therapy for children with various disabilities, the DCSN aims to provide students with the resources to lead a positive life. Currently the Center accommodates 150 children with special needs who have various physical and cognitive challenges. Over the years, DCSN had received support from H.H the late Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and continues to receive support and encouragement from H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the U.A.E, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
