On August 3, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced the launch of the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2.
The next generation of Samsung’s flagship series, the Galaxy Tab S2 is not only packaged in the thinnest and lightest metal frame of its size, but also delivers a Super AMOLED display that is perfectly optimized for reading and viewing any type of digital content.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes in a variety of connectivity, storage and size options: the 9.7-inch and 8.0-inch versions with Wi-Fi and LTE, available in 32 GB with MicroSD up to 128GB. The Wi-Fi versions are available at major retailers in the UAE for AED1,599 (8.0-inch version) and AED1,999 (9.7-inch version); the LTE versions costs AED1,799 (8.0-inch version) and AED 2,199 (9.7-inch version).
“For us in the UAE, we are number one in the market share in terms of value for June at 43 per cent and in terms of quantity at 29 per cent,” Hayssam Yassim told AMEinfo.
“The tablet is more than a phone and we hope to be successful. Today the features are superior in comparison to our competitors – our tablet is the lightest and thinnest in the world, “ he added.
