Saudi tourists to Egypt increase by 53 per cent

Number of Kuwaiti tourists to North African country also rose by 41.4 per cent in first 7 months of 2015

Statistical results showed a significant increase of 53.1 per cent in the number of Saudi tourists to Egypt during the first seven months of this year compared with the same period last year.

The number of Saudi tourists heading to Egypt rose last July compared with the same month of 2014, representing a growth of 95.5 per cent, Saudi-based Al Sharq Newspaper reports.

In addition to that, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked fourth for the number of tourists and fifth for the number of nights they spent in Egypt last July.

Also, the UAE witnessed an increase in the number of tourists who visited Egypt last July compared with the same period last year with a 43.4 per cent increase.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti tourists visiting Egypt rose during the first seven months of the year by 41.4 per cent compared to the same period of last year, and achieved growth in July 2015 compared to July 2015 by 77.9 per cent.
