Sifawy Boutique Hotel adds new flair to dining experience with appointment of Executive Chef

Sifawy Boutique Hotel, the first hotel in Muriya’s destination of Jebel Sifah has recently appointed a new Executive Chef to continue introducing exquisite dining experiences offered across the hotel’s outlets. Chef George Girguis’s role involves driving the culinary style in the hotel forward, while infusing the unique Omani flair, creating traditional and modern menus, as well as developing the team that are in place.

“Chef George Girguis is a talent that brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the team. We are delighted to have him on board as we cannot wait to have our customers enjoy his unique creations. We are confident that his knowledge and persona will further elevate our guests’ experience and strengthen our offerings as a main attraction in Muriya’s Jebel Sifah destination,” said Daniel Fanselow, General Manager of Sifawy Boutique Hotel.

Commenting on his appointment, Girguis said, “I am very pleased to join the team at Sifawy Boutique Hotel and look forward to provide an exceptional culinary experience, which reflects the quality of service at the hotel. I will be launching new Eid menus for both a la carte and buffet selections and will also introduce dishes with an Omani twist, appealing to our local clientele, as well as tourists or visitors that are interested in tasting the flavours of different cultures.”

With 20 years within the hospitality industry, the new chef worked in many renowned hotels including Hyatt, Sheraton, Le Royal Meridien to name a few. His previous position prior to joining Sifawy was the Chef de Cuisine in charge of one of the largest banquet operations at the Grand Hyatt Cairo in Egypt, currently known as the Grand Nile Tower. With the new appointment, Sifawy Boutique Hotel is introducing a number of favourite dishes at Al Sabla Restaurant including classic oriental and international dishes. In addition, the chef will contribute to the tapas-themed Catalan Food Festival, planned for next October.
