Saudi Telecoms Co (STC) has announced on Thursday that another network has gone down, this time disrupting mobile and landline services in the Eastern Province, Arab News has reported. This follows a fire at a facility in Khamis Mushayt on Sunday, which disrupted services in large parts of the Asir region, on the country’s southwest coast. STC said its technicians in the Eastern Province had cut a double fibre optic cable that saw all mobile and landline services interrupted. Work is under way to restore services in the affected areas, it said.
