STC to drag up Internet sea cable

Saudi Telecom Co (STC) has said it is preparing to withdraw its intercontinental sea cable 'SEA WE ME 4' from service for 10 days next month for maintenance, Saudi Gazette has reported. STC said its service would still operate at full capacity through the supply from the east which has a capacity capable of handling 100% of the Internet traffic. The company provides a global Internet service with capacities of 270 gigabits through international sea cables and the international land cable JADI, which extends from Jeddah to Europe via Jordan, Syria and Turkey.
